Purpose

To verify the legitimacy and integrity of grantees, partners, implementers and material suppliers.

Key commitments

  • Identity, legal status, registration and beneficial ownership are checked.
  • Sanctions and adverse-media screening, and AML and anti-corruption risk, are assessed.
  • Financial and operational capacity, and safeguarding posture, are considered where relevant.
  • Higher-risk counterparties receive enhanced due diligence and Board notice.
  • Engagement proceeds only where risks are acceptable; files are retained and refreshed.
